We want all of our residents to feel safe and secure in their homes, and we understand the unique relationships that pets provide. And while we would love to approve each furry, scaly or feathery friend without bias, we must also weigh the burden and risk associated with pet ownership. And because we’re not trained animal evaluators, we’ve partnered with the experts at PetScreening.com to read the writing on the paws.
To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our pet and animal-related policies we require ONE APPLICANT FROM EVERY HOUSEHOLD to complete a third-party screening and review process, REGARDLESS OF ANIMAL OWNERSHIP STATUS. Yes, even non-pet owners are required to complete this process.
The responsible applicant should complete the process at https://RentAppeal.PetScreening.com
The screening process is free for assistance animals and/or applicants without pets.
I’m a pet owner. What do I need to know to rent with Rent Appeal?
First and foremost – Not all of our properties are pet-friendly. Please read the property description carefully before applying for a particular property.
-
If the property allows pets, what types are allowed?
Most non-aggressive breeds of dogs and cats (they must be spayed or neutered), fish in tanks less than 10 gallons, and small birds are typically allowed. Other small reptiles and rodents will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Any small caged animals must not be allowed to roam free outside of their cage.
-
How many pets may I have?
Our standard is only one four-legged friend. Anything else must be pre-approved in writing.
-
How much is the pet deposit?
Just like your pet, each one of our properties and their respective owners is unique. Some owners prefer a flat fee or monthly pet rent instead of a deposit. And, that fee/rent/deposit will be based on the score the pet receives. We know this sounds complicated, so the best thing to do is talk to one of our agents.

How Do I Apply?
Pet owners must visit
https://RentAppeal.PetScreening.com and complete an application for each pet. The pet application fee is $20 for the first pet and $15 for the second pet. Those possessing assistance animals must also fill out an application, however, the application fees are waived.
